DadLabs-Strong Fathers-and the PTA!

The cool guys at DadLabs actually said I was a really cool dad. Or at least they said I was in a group of really cool dads at the National PTA Convention. It was great to hang out with the DadLabs dads, Eric Snow of WatchDOGS, and Coach Tony Dungy of AllPro Dads.

Thanks to the DadLabs for covering a great event and for helping promote father involvement in schools and the PTA. For MORE information on the MORE ALLIANCE, click HERE.

Great Week Off-Now It’s On!

Had a great week with my youngest son at Father-Teen Adventure in Colorado. More to come on our busy week in the mountains. Met a bunch of great dads and sons and can’t wait to share some of their stories with you as well. While I am regrouping and re-grooving to get started for the week. Please enjoy this hilarious video about dads. It is a dad’s life indeed.

Welcome Home DeSoto

Here is an informational video about our newest efforts in DeSoto ISD. We are joining forces with all of the entities in DISD that are working to involve parents. Through schedule and class collaboration as well as a Facebook page and quarterly parent magazine, we are looking forward to a great year and some great experiences with and for fathers and families. The Welcome Home Segment is included here for parents that have been accessing charter or private schools. DeSoto ISD is dedicated to making sure that every child in the district has all of their needs met in a public school setting. Strong Fathers-Strong Families is honored to be a part of their efforts.

Dr. Laura Gets It Right.

Dr. Laura’s video hits the nail on the head. Many fathers could and would be even stronger fathers if they are allowed to be. If men do not take the initiative, they are considered weak, if men take over, they are considered pushy. Strong Fathers are neither one. Strong Fathers and Strong Mothers work together within their own strengths to raise strong kids.

Men step up and do what is right by your kids, work it out with the mom, and lead your family. Moms, let dad do his job. Both parents are right when they decide to work together.

StrongFathers makes the NEWS!

Had a great morning at Hamlin Elementary in Hamlin, Texas. Lonnie Powell and his staff always do a great job with and for kids. We had a good group of dads who participated with their kids and even had the teachers stay and play with all of the kids in the summer program.

We even got some great media coverage from Priscilla Luong at KTAB television. You can see her story online on their Big Country Homepage. We are looking forward to going back out west in the Fall to do a Bring Your Dad to School Day in September.

Strong Fathers Partners with Schools for Kids and Communities

We had a great year in over 85 schools this past year and are looking forward to working even more partners in the coming school year. If you want to know more about what we do just ask Hastings Elementary in Duncanville ISD. Thanks to Duncanville ISD for partnering with us and helping us tell our story.
