Bilhartz Elementary has a new principal who is not new to us at Strong Fathers. Ms. Ebonye McGee is a great instructional leader and she understands the power of involved families and involved fathers. Bilhartz is a great school with a great principal, great teachers, and a great group of fathers and families. We are looking forward to building stronger kids by strengthening fathers and families with Bilhartz.
We had a great time at Hastings Elementary for their Bring Your Dad to School Day. Good crowd and great interaction between parents. We are so thankful to be a part of the efforts at Hastings to raise educated productive citizens with the support of their strong families.
The cafeteria was full of young scientist and old mad dad scientist as well. There were planes, rockets, and parachutes and even explosions! Thanks to the great staff at Hardin Intermediate for all of the help and participation. Great kids and great families at an awesome school.
We had a great group of dads come out to Hardin Intermediate. Even THE PRINCIPALS brought their dads too! Not only did we have a great crowd at Hardin Intermediate for their Bring Your Dad to School Day, but they also spent time having the students write essays about their fathers or father figures. Amazing stuff being said by kids. Fatherhood can actually be quite easy if we just listen to our kids. They will tell us what they need and what they want. We are so thankful for the work done by Hardin. Spend some time reading these great essays. It will be time well spent (if you want to laugh and/or cry).
We had a big crowd for big fun at Hastings Elementary in Duncanville ISD. we had planes flying, rockets blasting off, parachutes ascending and descending, and rockets EXPLODING as well. Lots of folks, lots of fun, and lots of learning. Not a bad combination.
The Huskies brought out the dads for another great program at Hastings Elementary. Over 240 dads showed up to support their kids and visit the classrooms. I took pictures in most of the classes and there are great things happening in the classrooms at Hastings Elementary. Looking forward to our upcoming math, science, and reading nights.
We had a great year in over 85 schools this past year and are looking forward to working even more partners in the coming school year.
